RSSBar

Terms of Use

Last updated October 10, 2026

RSSBar is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The points below explain how that applies to a news reader. Where they differ, Apple's agreement governs.

Who provides the app

RSSBar is made by Rocky Ocean, LLC. Apple distributes it through the App Store but is not responsible for the app or its support.

News content belongs to its publishers

RSSBar is a reader. The headlines, articles, images and websites you see come from the publishers whose feeds you choose, including the sources RSSBar suggests when you first open it. That content belongs to its publishers, who are responsible for it. RSSBar is not affiliated with or endorsed by any publisher, and keeps each story's source and a link to the original. Publisher paywalls, subscriptions and terms still apply.

Alerts are a convenience

Smart searches and alerts match words and phrases in the text that feeds provide. They can miss stories, match the wrong ones, or arrive late - for example when your Mac is asleep, the app is not running, or iOS delays background refresh. Do not rely on RSSBar for time-critical, financial, legal, medical or safety decisions. Nothing in the app is investment advice.

Using the app

Use RSSBar lawfully and respect the terms of the websites you subscribe to. Do not use it to overload a website with requests, or to copy and republish content you do not have the right to share.

No warranty

RSSBar is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Rocky Ocean is not liable for losses arising from the app, from feed content, or from a feed or website being unavailable. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. The "last updated" date above shows when they last changed.
